Hey,

I recently started a project being shot on the 7D, and no someone's suggestion I tried converting with stream clip. In my tests I noticed it really obliterates the blacks.

I'd like to offer a little time saver I found.

Drop a "reel" into your timeline and set the timeline to match the H.264. Then export a quicktime reference movie of those files. Once you have that, it makes it much easier to manage a large batch in FCP. Also, you won't have the crash issue when you put too many clips into compressor.

Hi mate,

I'm thinking to buy the 7D very soon. I have some doubts with CF cards. As I want to record video with it, do I have to go to the 60mb/s ones or the 30 or 20 mb/s are enough?

best,
am
